Youth Jiu-Jitsu
Our Youth Jiu-Jitsu classes aimed at 10 years and above are designed as high paced, fun activity classes. Youth learn skills such as break falls, self-defence, controlled sparring, and play games that help develop their martial skills.
Physical challenges are set individually to a level that is difficult but achievable, so children receive a great sense of satisfaction and boost to their self-confidence and self-esteem. In addition, emphasis is placed on group work, cooperation and respect. Training is always done in a safe environment.
Our Jiu-jitsu program is unique in that it is taught through the structure and traditional approach of Japanese martial arts culture and training heritage, which is conducive to learning in a focused, respectful, and disciplined way. The technique and self-defence methodology we teach is predominantly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; a proven martial art discipline but much easier for kids to learn due to mostly the use of gross motor skills and as such not limited to only youth with natural talent and athletic ability.
